This piece was created to honor my favorite Egyptian goddess Bastet. She was the daughter and defender of Ra. She is the Egyptian goddess of cats, the home, fire, sunrise, music, dance, pleasure as well as sexuality, fertility, family, pregnant women and children. She is believed to be the personification of the soul of Isis. She protected the home from evil spirits and disease, especially diseases associated with women and children.
This piece features a circular hypersthene stone that is set in solid copper and hangs from a 16 inch long vintage brass chain. This piece is meant to sit high up on the neck. If you would like a longer chain please leave me a note at checkout.
